Evidence-based practice
This course aims to convey the experience of our professionals, exploring their use of assessment tools to improve diagnosis and the treatment of fluency disorders. Check more information bellow:
Objective
Train Speech Therapists interested in the latest trends in assessment, diagnosis and therapy for stuttering, based on current scientific evidence.
Methodology
The lecturers will approach the topics in a theoretical way, using slides, texts and videos, and will demonstrate, in a practical way, how they work. Each module aims to answer common doubts among professionals who work with people who stutter.
Duration - 2 months
Via our ed-tech platform (mobile app included), students will have access to the study material and the practical assessments, which they must complete in order to move on to the next module.

Understand the multifactorial causes of fluency disorders Identify the different manifestations of fluency disorders.

4 & 5

Apply clinical concepts and evaluation instruments for disfluencies. Plan intervention and define specific therapy techniques for children, adolescents and adults who stutter

Apply procedures for assessment and treatment. Promote therapeutic groups.

7

Know the technologies that support the assessment and treatment procedures. Use teletherapy in the process of assessment and treatment.
